I’m cooking up a “live drawing” show for this year’s NW Folklife: 8bit & VJ Showcase. (I guess I should have asked them if they wanted more of a bio from me! Oh well, you know who I am!) – Anyway, I’m excited about it (maybe no one else will be, but hey, got to keep it fresh!)

TrackbackI’ve recently discovered the joy of abstract imagery for my VJ performances. (might have something to do with the influence of my “other” artwork – painting/drawing/doodling http://www.scobot.com/blog/ ) For the LONGEST time I have only been using “video” clips, but have found that I quite like the “open interpretation” that abstracts allow. I also find I am less tired after a three hour set (must have something to do with your brain trying to process the meaning of all those clips) – so that is kind of nice. I will probably start integrating my own animations into the abstract content – but for right now, I’m enjoying the “trip”. could just be a passing fancy though 
Comments rss TrackbackOK, so this is my first post to VJSCOBOT.COM – the new home for VJ scobot! Not much has changed, but there will be some minor improvements and hopefully more VJ goodness.
In the next few weeks I will be transforming SCOBOT.COM into…well I’m not sure exactly what yet – but it should full of crazy ideas, experiments, doodles, paintings, games, animations, maybe some ranting (or raving) or maybe just complete crap! The idea is to keep it loose and fast and not worry about it too much. If that sounds interesting to you, check it out !
Comments rss TrackbackWell, the title makes it sound much more interesting than it is really. But I’ve decided to split my site into two “channels” – one for my VJ work, and one for my ART work (for lack of a better term). The problem was I have been working on a ton of stuff that is not necessarily “VJ” related (though someday it may be) and that was kind of holding me back from posting on my site, “where does this go? and who the heck would care about this?”. So the heck with that, why be limited to just one aspect of my personality? Now you’ll get to see what else scobot is up to! And hopefully that will be a good thing! (“Hmmm, he’s a good VJ, but his art is kind of lame”)
Once I figure out how to install another WORD PRESS blog, I’ll be off and running.
